Loki

Class: Aesir
Realm: Asgard

Character Overview

Loki is the youngest son of the Divine Couple, as he is the younger twin of Odin. He is the Aesir/God of Darkness and is known for his cunning and happy-go-lucky way as opposed to how he actually looks like. People seldom pray to Loki except when asking him not to imbue darkness upon him. Although he speaks more than that of which is expected from him, Loki hides many things to himself as a result of various experiences and reasons. He embarks on a mission with his brother and the two of them are escorted by Nataku.

Author's Notes

Most references and stories depict Loki to be dark, cunning and mischievous, as he causes various kinds of misfits and mishaps for others around him such as causing Baldur's (Balder to some) death. He also a sworn brother to Odin. Some also say that Loki is the god of Darkness. However, the darkness is never weird and creepy because the darkness is oftentimes judged, different and misunderstood. Loki is one of my favorite gods from Norse Mythology.

Stories regarding the Ragnarok (Twilight of the Gods) describe Loki as the one leading an army against Asgard and caused the fall of several gods.

The same name appears in the game Valkyrie Profile Lenneth and others.

Loki is my favorite character seconding Nataku because he depicts the other half of myself (see Nataku), the "half of me that people see… but do not understand".
